Description
This is an ULTRA RARE copy of the classic “Master Tape Vol. II” compilation LP released on Affirmation Records in 1983. These 43 tracks of classic early 80s American hardcore punk rock were assembled by Paul Mahern (of the Zero Boys); the second volume consisted mostly of bands he had recorded at his studio in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The more well-known bands like Zero Boys, Mecht Mensch, Tar Babies, Killing Children, Violent Apathy & No Labels contribute some amazing songs, some of which only appear on this compilation. The real treat of this comp, however, is all the extra stuff. There are some real gems on here, too. Lots of underrated bands that only recorded demos or comp tracks and never made it into the history books.
think it’s crazy that both of these Master Tape comps are so hard to find. You’d think someone would have tried to reissue both on a CD or something?
Additionally, this copy includes the rare lyric booklet. Most copies you see up here on Ebay do not contain the poster. The sleeve is in awesome shape (no tears, stains, rips, etc) with the exception of a little ringwear, mostly because two LP's were housed in the sleeve and not one. It's not bad at all, especially because this is one of those old style sleeves with the brown cardboard on the inside (ala the FU's "My America" LP or the first pressing of the Germs "(GI)" LP). The vinyl is in awesome shape and plays without any skips! Overall, a great, complete package.

I am sorry that I have to do this but I have been ripped off by some very sketchy fellows in the last couple years who claimed they did not get their items and then filed a Paypal claim. This, of course, led to me losing both my item and the money paid. Because Paypal requires me to have a tracking number to be insured, I have to require international bidders to purchase one. A few bad apples ruin it for everything!
