Description
Up for auction is one Mastodon 9 LP Box Set. This set was originally pressed on all black vinyl because at the time the plant didn't offer 180 gram on clear. After it was pressed the owner complained there weren't any clear and the production manager checked again only to find it was suddenly an option. So 100 copies of the set were pressed and substituted for 100 sets in black. By that I mean that 100 sets were opened, black vinyl removed, and clear vinyl inserted. So while there's 1100 sets of vinyl, there's still only 1000 boxes, sleeves, etc. This is the only official release of Mastodon's live set from the Contamination Fest.
Only a few of the clear vinyl were re-sealed at Relapse headquarters. I know all this because I'm the one that swapped out all the vinyl and sealed this copy back up. This box contains the following.
