This is an UNPLAYED 1980 U.S. MERCURY RECORDS PROMO 12" SINGLE containing the tracks 'Battle Scar' from Kim Mitchell's Canadian hard rockers Max Webster and all three members of Rush backed with 'Blue River Liquor Shine'.  It is Mercury Records catalog number MK159, in plain white cardboard cover with hype sticker.  The 'special guests' referred to on the hype sticker are the three members of Rush.

'Battle Scar' was recorded live at Phase One Studios in Toronto, Canada on July 28,1980. This song was included on Max Webster's sixth and final album 'Universal Juveniles'.

'Battle Scar' was written by Kim Mitchell of Max Webster and Pye Dubois who co-wrote a handful of Rush songs including "Tom Sawyer".

Personnel: Kim Mitchell - Vocals, Guitar / Geddy Lee - Vocals, Bass / Gary McCracken - Drums / Neil Peart - Drums / Dave Miles - Bass / Alex Lifeson - Guitars / Terry Watkinson - Keyboards.
