Description

This is an original pressing of the Maxwell Davis "and His Tenor Sax" LP (Aladdin Records #LP-804) 1956.  "In the 1940`s & `50`s, Davis arranged and played on hundreds of sessions, including the hits of Charles Brown, Amos Milburn, Jimmy Witherspoon, Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown, Jesse Belvin, The Jacks / Cadets, T-Bone Walker, Percy Mayfield, B.B. King, Z.Z. Hill and others. He produced virtually all of the record sessions for all the local independent rhythm and blues companies in Los Angeles in the late `40`s and early `50`s." Vinyl condition: 6.5 on a scale of 1-10 (plays much better than it looks). Still retains all of its shiny, glossy lustre!  Album jacket is in VERY GOOD condition (invisible tape repair on top and bottom edges).  A fabulous 1950`s R&B / jazz LP!
