On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by May Blitz called "The 2nd Of May" and is an ORIGINAL 1971 UK 1st Pressing on the 1st Press LARGE Vertigo 'Spiral' label!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  THIS IS ONE OF THE RAREST LPs ON THE VERTIGO LABEL - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!!  JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!!  BACK IN 1971 WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED, IT ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS - AND WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY DELETED!!!!  AS A RESULT IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND INCREDIBLY HARD TO LOCATE TODAY!!!!  THIS LP IS MADE EVEN RARER STILL - AS IT IS THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE, WITH A 'LARGE' VERTIGO 'SPIRAL' LOGO ON THE LABEL (LATER ONES DONT!)!!!!

NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN GREAT CONDITION OVERALL - AND THOUGH IT ISNT VISUALLY PERFECT, IT IS STILL A VERY PRESENTABLE EXAMPLE INDEED (AS MY PICTURES CLEARLY SHOW!)!!!!  JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!!  THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1971 UK 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS  VERTIGO LABEL, 1ST PRESS 1/1 MATRIXES, 1ST PRESS 'VERTIGO' INNER SLEEVE, AND 1ST PRESS GATEFOLD COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!!  This is the ORIGINAL Vertigo UK 1st Pressing from 1971 and is in GREAT condition overall!!!!  The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl.  The Cat. No is 6360 037 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Vertigo Label (see picture) and is a UK Stereo 1st Pressing (there were NO Monos)!!!!

The record labels are in SUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and only a few light spindle marks!!!!  The vinyl is in GREAT condition overall - and is still VERY bright & shiny looking indeed!!!!  Most of these 60s/70s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable.  This one is NOT and has NO nasty deep feelable scratches, only 3 visible (but NON sounding!) scufflines, only 3 or 4 light hairlines, 1 concentric line (though this doesnt sound AT ALL!), and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!!  THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK!!!!  It is also great to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual with NO nasty loud pops, barely ANY clicks AT ALL, NO sticking, NO jumps, barely ANY crackle AT ALL, and only some slight background sound on the run on grooves & gaps - though this is lost WAY behind ALL but the VERY quietest parts of the music ONLY!!!!  The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO distortion and NO groovewear either!!!!  Curiously on part of first track on either side, the grooves look very VERY slightly lighter (though this is ONLY visible if you study the record under a direct halogen spotlight!) - but I played this LP through END TO END through my Seinheiser headphones, and on my 2 systems this had NO effect on play AT ALL!!!!  Of course, I dont own every system in the world - but geniunely and truthfully on my systems, these tracks played EXACTLY the same as all the others!!!!  The record must MEGA STRICTLY grade Good+ (PROPERLY graded, NOT trashed!) if not better - and is still VERY bright & shiny, and very VERY presentable indeed!!!!  Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!!  I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!!  Brillant!!!!  The record comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press 'Vertigo' inner sleeve which is in GREAT condition (apart from 2 or 3 almost INVISIBLE small repairs) and still FULLY 'Poly lined'!!!!  The ORIGINAL 1st Press Gatefold Cover is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  The cover has NO splits, barely ANY edge wear, NO annotations, only VERY slight spinal wear, NO sticker tears, only slight corner wear (NOT through the colour!), NO ringwear, NO rubbing, only 2 or 3 TINY 'age traces', NO yellowing, only a VERY few light creases (cover is VERY flat looking!), NO sticker marks, and NO writing!!!!  The opening edge is beautifully straight with barely ANY feathering AT ALL!!!!  Even the inside of the cover is in BRILLIANT condition with NO yellowing, NO grubbyness, barely ANY rubbing AT ALL, only 1 TINY grubby trace towards the EXTREME left, NO ringwear, and NO writing!!!!  The cover must grade Very Good++ if not better - and is very VERY decent indeed!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!!
