Edward Maya and Vika Jigulina's 'Stereo Love' was a 2009 crossover sleeper, serving utter escapism through what is now a goosebump-giving, deja-entendu accordion line. With an unhurried crispness, Maya would de-emphasise bass in favour of holiday unhurriedness. few know the track wasn't a total major-label fabrication from the jump, as it bubbled up through Romanian resort circuits before spreading across Europe, riding the so-called popcorn wave: glossy, export-ready dance cuts with folk inflection and soft melancholy baked in. The extended mix keeps the full glide intact, while the Molella remix nudges it toward a more direct floor shape; the Mia Martina version meanwhile recalls the North American push.
