MAYHEM "OUT FROM THE DARK" Rehearsal Recording 1996 Black Metal Records Red Vinyl Edition 12" Limited to 800 pieces Beautifully Done Picture-LP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is without question one of the BEST MAYHEM recordings EVER!!!! And it is a rehearsal nonetheless!!!!!! The sound is RAW but it is LOUD and CRYSTAL CLEAR, it just slightly lacks some bottom end but the absolute stars of the recording are DEAD and EURONYMOUS, anyway, and their skills and talents shine through as predominant elements in the mix. EURONYMOUS' riffing is so cauterized straight razor hot, blistering, his genius riffs are delivered with such speed and assertive VICIOUSNESS, it must be heard to be believed. Any black metal know-it-all DORKS that criticize EURONYMOUS largely based upon them half-listening to DE MYSTERIIS... don't know what they are talking about, This guy's riffs were genius, memorable, varied, evolutive, and ORIGINAL as hell!!!!!! His playing, lightning fast, effortless liquid quicksilver speed delivery singular, sparks are flying off of his Les Paul in this rehearsal!!!!!!

DEAD's vocals, well, let's put it this way, I have never heard him sound quite this way at all, not with MORBID, not on any live MATHEM bootleg nor the mediocre LEIPZIG performance (DAWN OF THE BLACK HEARTS is an infinitely better all around band performance but, sadly, recorded with a tape "walkman" shoved down inside someone's pants...lol..!!!!), nor does he even sound remotely this way on the ONE studio recording professionally mastered with him, the FREEZING MOON/CARNAGE 10" (He sounds nearly as a dead, guttural, mechanical, sepulchral wraith never possessing an ounce of life on that recording). During this rehearsal, he is largely missing characteristic guttural bass aspects but more than compensates for an utterly desperate, extremely emotional, tortured, agonized pleading rasp. He truly sounds to be in such a state of genuine, desperate, palpable PAIN, it comes through very clearly, he truly sounds a Tortured Spectre, not a pretentious ass like Attila or Maniac.........Listening to Per Yngve here, it is conceivable that these are the utterances, expressions of a man resolved and ordained to violently, brutally take his own life a very short time afterward. This was DEAD's LAST recorded rehearsal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This RARE vinyl is the RED EDITION on BLACK METAL RECORDS from 1996 and was more limited than the GOLD. This release was limited to 800 copies!!!! This copy is an extra I possess and is BRAND NEW!!!!!!!! UNPLAYED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
