Description
Original 1970 U.S. Stereo press of LP on Colossus label
MAYPOLE ( self titled)
CONDITION:
cover: VG+(+)
a bit of lite shelf wear/soiling ~ lite wear to edges & corners
top edge paper is worn off at spine & opening edge (approx 1" each)
looks split at opening edge ~ lower edge not quite split, but worn at opening
back slick has small promo sticker( promo label ,too ~ see scan)
vinyl: VG++ to Excellent
clean & glossy ~ 3 or 4 small lite surface marks & 3 or 4 small lite
surface scratches/ faint hairlines on each side ~ all superficial surface
nothing that affects play at all ~ plays excellent with just 3 or 4 soft clicks per side

This anonymous outfit's album, which has been likened to outfits
like The Ill Wind and Neighborhood Childr'n, is now a minor collectable.
In fact it's far heavier than either of these two and doesn't feature female
lead vocals either. It does however merge psych and heavy rock, with some
excellent Hendrix inspired lead guitar work on Johnny and Glance At The Past.
All their material was original and it was produced by Pat Perticone at
New York's A&R studios.
