Next up from my reggae rarities is another scarce UK late 60's issue. On the NU BEAT label this is NB 031 a split release featuring the Maytals and The Johnson Boys. The Maytals offering is My Testamony and the Johnson Boys is One Dollar of Soul. This is in fair condition with black pen marks on both labels and surface marks which I have tried to capture in the photos, I have played both sides through and there are no skips or jumps and minimal suface noise as the marks are more cosmetic than actual scratches. It also has the original middle still intact. As such I am starting this relatively low but it is certainly a reasonable copy of a very rare single that is pushing 50 years old!! So if you are a reggae collector looking for something to complete your collection get bidding. I am currently listing a selection of records from my collection, as well as various other items over the next few days, have a look for a mix of rarities and bargains.
