Description

Please note: This is a brand new account because I have been commissioned to sell a large collection of records that once belonged a DJ in Santa Barbara, CA (more about him below) and the collection belongs to DodgerBob. The lack of feedback is due to this, but I have been selling for years under my account which is: nowhere.man where I have a 100% positive feedback score with 326 transactions and tons of great seller reviews. If you have any questions or concerns, you may look up my other account at nowhere.man and read through them and/or message me there until we build the same customer satisfaction as I have done there. Thank you!! :)

Fair Offers are always considered.

There are many, many incredible promotional copies mainly from the late 60’s through the 70’s being listed now and for some time to come...please follow us and check out our other listings- we of course offer combined shipping on multiple purchases...we will simply add $1 USD per additional album.

MC5 - High Time White Label Promo NM/NM

Atlantic SD 8285

WOW!! For sale is an incredibly rare white label promo copy of MC5’s proto-punk Detroit rocker album High Time!! This is a seemingly rarer Monarch pressing from the Monarch plant in Los Angeles, CA (no example is listed on Discogs currently and nearly all promo copies I can find are Presswell copies) as denoted by the label style, MO at the bottom of labels and circled MR in the runouts. TOP ARCHIVE COPY

Matrix/Runouts: (tri=a triangle)

1: ST-A-71221BB MR(circled) A719P tri16073-x PR

2: ST-A-71221BB MR(circled) A719P tri16073 PR

Sleeve: NM

GORGEOUS crisp sleeve, sharp corners and opening edges, gatefold still crackles when opening. Owners’ collection stamp on rear has been all but removed. Barely noticeable (see pics)

Disc: NM

STUNNING glossy sheen...disc has seen very little play...only the faintest of wispy hairline sleeve removal traces.

Labels: NM-

Gorgeous, rare white label promo labels have no unwanted writing or marks and only the faintest evidence of play (spindle traces). This label style is different from the more common promo labels in that the SAMPLE COPY NOT FOR SALE is at the top of the label instead of below the STEREO and at the bottom the pressing info ends in MO (Monarch plant) instead of PR (Preswell Plant). Contains:

Side One: (ST-A-712213-MO)

Side Two: (ST-A-712214-MO)

Original proper Atlantic ad inner included

Grading System:

SS (Still Sealed)

Unopened records, still in original shrink wrap. In original manufactured condition unless otherwise noted (i.e. evidence of mildew or bent corners, etc.)

M (Mint)

The record and sleeve are in perfect, original condition. The record may have been played but will have no evidence of deterioration. (I will only use this grade on SEALED records that appear to be Mint as I believe any non-new, opened record cannot be truly called MINT.

NM (Near Mint)

A nearly perfect record. Any visible defects are of the type that "disappear" when the record is tilted under a strong light and they should not affect play. Sleeves in near mint condition will have no obvious signs of wear. Practically imperceptible ring wear may be allowed but no creases, seam-splits, or other easily detected flaws will be present.

EX (Excellent)

A very clean record. Near mint except for slight, superficial signs of wear. Sleeves in this condition may have marginal defects, but will not have significant creases or splits.

VG+ (Very Good Plus)

A well-cared-for record that is noticeably less than perfect, but defects are not visually or audibly distracting. Record surfaces may have slight scuffs or light scratches, but are still primarily clean. Sleeves may have some creases or minor ring wear, but should not be split.

VG (Very Good)

A used, reasonable copy to play. Many of the defects found in a VG+ copy will be more pronounced in VG condition. Surface noise may be evident and sleeves may look worn, but the record is still a decent copy.

G (Good)

A well-worn record that is still playable. Good does not necessarily mean "bad" but a record in this condition will have audible distractions and may have visible groove wear. Sleeves may have all manner of defects, but are still intact.

FA (Fair) and P (Poor)

These grades are for beat-up records. I will only sell records in these grades if they are extremely rare and sought-after.
