Description

This is a 1969 RED LABEL SECOND ISSUE UNCENSORED MF ELEKTRA RECORDS U.S. LP titled 'Kick Out The Jams' from Detroit proto-punk band MC5.  It is Elektra Records U.S. catalog number EKS-74042, gatefold cover with John Sinclair essay printed across the lower part of the inside of the gatefold cover, heavy rigid vinyl pressing.  Record comes packaged inside the gatefold cover in its original late 1960s era Elektra Records stock inner sleeve.

Condition of record is VG with a moderate to fair amount of surface and sleeve marks which cannot be felt and will not affect play, and a small number of small surface scratches on the B-side of the record which can be felt and which will cause some ticks in the very few quiet areas in the track 'Starship' at the end of the B-side.  Any other surface noise or ticks are pretty much obliterated by the high volume of the music, and the critical areas of introduction and music at the beginning of and on the first track of the A-side of the record play noise and tick free.  Condition of cover is a low VG+ with a 1" closed split in the middle of the top edge, a couple of very small worn areas on the front cover, some ring and contact wear, and some wear along the edges and on the corners.  Elektra Records stock inner sleeve is in good shape with just a couple of slight wrinkles, no splits or tears.
This UNCENSORED LP would be a choice cornerstone addition to any MC5 or early proto-punk record collection!
