The GOO GOO DOLLS contributed a song to this 1988 compilation released by a small BUFFALO record label based - MAXWELL RECORDS. They were just one of 12 bands trying to get heard on a national level at the time... 12 bands in total, including: THE RAIN, THE SPLATCATS, THE RAMRODS, NULLSTADT, THE PINHEADS (this amazing song, called "GET YOU ALONE" was recorded and mixed by ROBBY TAKAC & music in action program co-author R. James), 1969, MARK FREELAND, DAVID KANE'S DECAY OF WESTERN CIVILIZATION, THE MOMENT, BOB DYE, PEACHY L'AMOUR, AND... "GOO GOO DOLLS." This collection of historic music may get released as a CD sometime in the future but there are a lot of permissions and licensing issues to be resolved first... whatever happens, the CD would be for benefit purposes as that was part of the original plan back in 1988... but that is another story for another time...... This cassette is the last one remaining from personal storage of one of the labels owners (me). These were made directly of a stereo master tape... pre-digital and sounds great. If you buy, and convert to CD (which is almost too easy these days) we ask that you not upload those files for free sharing as it is all done now to raise more for school programs.... and a future CD from the original masters would be sold for the same purpose - to serve the higher ground of funding music programs for students in high need schools.
