Description
Recorded in England. High Fidelity Recording. 2nd label mono variant pressings (Scranton) have 'ASCAP' after every title except "I Want To Hold Your Hand" (BMI). Black label with colorband. Issued with the first variation jackets with 'Beatles' on cover in tan to brown print. No producer credit on back cover. According to "Price Guide for Beatles' American Records" (6th ed.) by Cox & Daniels, this 2nd label variant was used for a significant part of the initial east coast production run and were initially packaged with the first jacket variation (with no George Martin credit). The number 3 appears bottom right of back cover indicating, Modern Album of Long Island, NY as printer of jacket. Runouts are all stamped.
Play-tested and still sounds very nice, despite the various hairline scratches. No skips. Cover in good shape with about a 4 1/2" split at the top right corner. No ring wear. Generic inner sleeve. This is a genuine Capital Records brand album and not a cheap copy or fake. From a pet-free and smoke-free home. Photos are of the exact item you will receive.
