UP FOR AUCTION IS AN ORIGINAL STEREO FIRST PRESSING OF "MEET THE BEATLES" CAPITOL RECORDS-ST-2047. THIS IS THE EXTREMELY RARE PRESSING WITHOUT GEORGE MARTIN AND ALSO MORE IMPORTANT, WITHOUT ANY PUBLISHING CREDITS. IT IS A #3 SCRANTON EAST COAST PRESSING. IT IS ACCOMPANIED WITH THE ORIGINAL CAPITOL RECORDS ROYAL BLUE SLEEVE IN VG++ CONDITION AND THE IN-STORE SEARS PROTECTIVE BAGGY. COVER: THE COVER IS IN VG+ CONDITION. I REPAIRED A 3-4 SEAM SPLIT AT THE BOTTOM. THERE IS SOME SLIGHT RINGWEAR ON THE FRONT AND SOME FLAKING AND WRINKLING ON THE SPINE, BUT THE TITLE AND OTHER LETTERING ARE LEGIBLE. THERE IS ALSO 1 OR 2 CORNER PUSHES. VINYL: THE VINYL I WOULD RATE AT A VG- SIDE ONE HAS SEVERAL SURFACE SCRATCHES ONLY NOTICEABLE UNDER A STRONG LIGHT. AND WHAT APPEARS TO BE A PEN OR SMALL MAGIC MARKER SPOT ON THE LABEL. SIDE TWO ALSO HAS SEVERAL SURFACE SCRATCHES ONLY REALLY NOTICEABLE UNDER A STRONG LIGHT, BUT BOTH SIDES HAVE A NICE SHINY GLOSS TO THEM. I AM EXTREMELY STRICT WITH ALL OF MY GRADING. LABELS: VG+ BOTH LABELS ARE NICE WITH VIBRANT COLORS AND SHINE. THERE IS THAT SLIGHT MARKING ON SIDE ONE THAT MUST HAVE BEEN ACCIDENTALLY HIT WITH A MAGIC MARKER. IF YOU LOOK CLOSELY YOU CAN SEE SOME WEAR BY THE SPINDLE HOLE ON BOTH SIDES. ALL IN ALL. BOTH LABELS ARE EXCELLENT. THE SEARS IN-STORE PROTECTIVE BAGGY HAS A TEAR ON THE FRONT BOTTOM COVER, AS YOU CAN SEE IN ONE OF THE PICTURES. The auction will run for a period of 7 days.
