Description
Presented is "Meet The Beatles",Capitol ST-2047, East Coast #3 cover. Issued 1/20/1964.
This is the incredibly rare STEREO first pressing issue with NO ASCAP or BMI publisher credits printed on the labels!! This Stereo issue without the publishing credits is the rarest and most obscure of ALL the "Meet The Beatles" label variations. Only about 15% of all Beatles albums issued before 1966 were Stereo, and of these a very small number of Stereo issues of "Meet The Beatles" exist without the publisher credits.
It is not known when, or if first pressings of "Meet The Beatles" were sold to the public in shrink wrap. What is known is that East Coast deparment stores used loose poly-bags to package Capitol first pressings of this historic Beatles album. This issue of "Meet The Beatles" is housed in one of those rare and original loose poly baggy wraps.
This record will be shipped with a VG+ date appropriate Royal Blue Capitol inner sleeve.
To have this most famous of all Pop records in this quality condition and housed in this special wrapping is a unique find indeed!!
Fully Play Graded: This record has crisp, clear Stereo sound and is graded at a solid VG+ / VG++. The surface shows some superficial scuffs and light scratches that do not affect sound quality.
Labels: VG+ / VG++.
Cover: VG+, with a bit of discoloration at the top, back cover.
