Vinyl lp 12" MEET THE BEATLES, released 1964 in the US on Capitol Records (ST-2047), stereo. The twisted, masochistic scholarship that details the history behind this and other Beatles releases suggests that this copy is a 1st West Coast stereo release of MEET THE BEATLES (second overall US pressing). The only detail in question (to me) is the color of the title print; other than that, this item displays the following hallmarks:
-only track 1, side 1 is credited to BMI; all others credited ASCAP -no credit to George Martin on the back cover -RIAA seal with "6" printed on the bottom right corner of the back -side 1 matrix = ST-1-2047-A5; side 2 = ST-2-2047-A5
I can't imagine this was released any later than 1964, especially considering how its original dewey-eyed owner dated it on the back cover with her signature. She also managed to exchange the original company dust sleeve with that of one of The Beatles' domestic Vee Jay titles. Other than that, it is a well-preserved document of The British Invasion.
