This record is in excellent+ condition. It has virtually no spindle marks visible on the labels, with maybe one incredibly light one on side 1. This is near impossible to spot however and overall they are really clean. There are no pen marks, scuffs or fading anywhere and the centres are not loose. Overall the labels are in superb condition and are near immaculate in my opinion.
As for the vinyl itself, both sides are free from anything remotely serious and have very little visible in normal light. There is a few extremely minor wispy lines and some minor superficial streaks visible under bright light but again nothing serious or sinister. The 'streaks' do not cover all the record but I would say around 10% of it, with most of this being visible in the run out. They are the 'steaks' caused by the record sitting in its poly-lined inner for years and never coming out. The record has no nasty scuffs or blemishes and has a lovely vivid shine, despite these minor streaks which are not major or prominent.
I play tested the record and it plays really well. It lays near perfectly flat and there is next to no movement in the record arm. The audio produced on my system is excellent. Its crisp, defined and very clear with only a trace of surface noise audible in the silent sections and in the really, really quiet passages. This is very minor however and is really just the sound of a record so to speak. I play test at high volume on a nice system with a SME 3009 tonearm and Ortofon cartridge. It is quite revealing and came across no issues during the play test such as skips, sticks or pops. I picked up one single click around 5 minutes from the end of side 2 but other than this it is just the lightest possible amount of surface noise you can imagine in the run in and near silent parts. Any parts of the music with any volume to it has absolutly nothing audible and is sharp, dynamic and sounds superb. So overall the play test was a thoroughly enjoyable listen with only the most bare minimum amount of interference possible.
The sleeve is in fair+ condition. It has only a touch of wear to the edges and corners and the writing along the spine is all clearly legible. This wear I mention is on the bottom edge and is really just a stain in the centre of it. So overall the edges are in great shape with no splits and little actual wear to report. The main issue with the sleeve is however the front and especially the rear. The front has more staining to the bottom half and minor creasing in places. There is also a circular faint sticker mark towards the top right corner. The rear is not ideal and is the main reason for lower grading.It has considerable damage to the bottom half with a section missing and scuffs evident. The section missing is not a hole through to the record but to the cardboard 'centre' of the sleeve. So overall the sleeve is not ideal but it is also strong and solid enough with just this superfical damage to report. Please study the pictures provided as I have tried my best to explain its condition but you can hopefully gain more information from viewing these.
It includes its original 'emitex' poly-lined inner which is in very good+ condition. This has no splits, tears or pen marks but slight creasing and mild age related discolouring and grubbiness. I will include this sleeve but will send the record in a plain, clean replacement to ensure there is no age related grubbiness or issues transferred to the now cleaned, nice sounding record.
The record will be packaged in cardboard stiffeners and bubble wrapped thoroughly when dispatched. It will also be sent in a brand new protective plastic sleeve, and within 24hrs of receiving payment to ensure swift delivery.
