Description
Beautiful copy of the 1960 first pressing of Mendelssohn's Scotch Symphony conducted by Peter Maag, on London blueback stereo LP CS-6191. This is an absolutely stunning audiophile recording, easily the best ever recording of this symphony that I have ever heard. Just unbelievable. This copy sounds truly spectacular, too. There are a couple of superficial scuffs but most do not make the tiniest sound at all, though there is one on side one that clicks a few times during the second track. Other than those few clicks it plays just about flawlessly and truly beautifully. The cover has some edgewear at the bottom, where there is a 3" seam split, and a soft corner. The upper left corner is somewhat rubbed as well, but otherwise it is a beautiful cover, looking quite beautiful. This is a lovely original copy that sounds just gorgeous.
