Menelaos Pallandios was a pupil of Mitropoulos in Athens and Casella in Rome (1939-40), and has taught at the Athens Conservatory since 1936 (director from 1962). His works, including ballets and orchestral pieces, are in the national school, some of the best suggested by ancient Greek subjects.
