We are pleased to offer this Rare and collectible album in STILL SEALED condition
on the Audiophile TAS List Absolute Sound Harry Pearson BEST OF THE BUNCH CLASSICAL recommendations
This LP was recorded in the Auditorium at CASS TECHNICAL HIGH SCHOOL IN DETROIT USA - In the same box of records alongside it were 5 private Pressings of CASS Technical High School Band all with a personal inscription from HAROLD ARNOLDI who was the conductor of CASS Technical High School Symphony band in the 1960s It is a very likely that this copy of MERCURY SR 90313 was also a gift from Conductor Harold Arnoldi which might explain how it managed to remain still sealed after some 50 years !
Ravel’s Rapsodie Espagnole was written in 1907 ,Alborada del gracioso ("Morning Song of the Jester") was written between 1904 and 1905 both with a captivating Spanish flavour , The tender Pavane pour une Infante Defunte dates from 1899 and orchestrated in 1910 while La Valse was premiered in 1920
Jacques Ibert Completed Escales in 1922 which compliments the Ravel works as another full blooded Spanish flavoured rhapsody
CONDITION - SLEEVE NEAR MINT in original Shrink wrap still sealed - just very light wear at the bottom left corner
VINYL As This is Astonishingly STILL SEALED I can only assume It is MINT and UNPLAYED
A famous and Highly regarded Recording and a still sealed copy makes this rather special !!
