Offered for sale is an original Austrian import of MERLINE JOHNSON - THE YAS YAS GIRL 1937-1940. Album is identified as Document DLP 562, this is a Limited Edition. Twenty songs recorded over a span of four years. These songs are mostly trio and quartet recordings with tremendous backing by Lonnie Johnson, Big Bill Broonzy, Casey Bill Weldon, Lee Collins, Eddie Miller, and Black Bob. My favorite songs include; "Squeeze Me Tight", "Pallet On The Floor", "He May Be Your Man", "Sold It To The Devil", and "Breakin' 'Em Down Tonight". This album comes in NEW CONDITION. The disclaimer on the album states; "Considering the extreme rarity of the original 78's, condition is generally better than might be hoped , but it must be borne in mind that only one or two copies are known to exist of some titles". The albums cover has been protected with a plastic cover, and the album has also been protected with a protective inner sleeve.
