Merrell Fankhouser - “The Maui Album”
Maui Music Recording M-101
Stereo
WOW!! For sale is an INSANELY RARE 1st pressing cult classic psychedelic folk rock album from Merrell Fankhouser (of HMS Bounty and Mu fame) from 1976!! This self-titled album is known as “The Maui Album” and copies of it are so scarce and nearly impossible to find. Even better, it is AUTOGRAPHED by Merrell himself. I guarantee this autograph to be 100% authentic as he personalized it to me and signed it when I was visiting his home. I used to be friends with his son and also delivered his mail so I saw Merrell frequently. See photos and description below for details. If you are looking at this album, you most likely are aware of its incredible rarity.
1: M-101-A FP43543-1 556 symbol
2: M-101-B FP4343543-2 556 symbol
Sleeve: EX
BEAUTIFUL, crisp sleeve has no major bends, creases or splits. Light wear only. I had this copy personally autographed by Merrell which says, “Scott, All My Best, Merrell Fankhouser”. I absolutely guarantee this autograph to be 100% authentic as I obtained it in person.
Disc: VG+
BEAUTIFUL glossy sheen. There are several light, superficial hairlines/sleeve removal traces and some of the odd “spotting” that can occur on vinyl but is non-sounding. No major scratches or feelable marks. Quite nice.
Labels: EX
NO writing or marks...clean labels with light signs of play only.
Insert: EX
ORIGINAL blue lyric insert is included and has no writing or tears...small wrinkle to one corner only.

Grading System:
SS (Still Sealed)
Unopened records, still in original shrink wrap. In original manufactured condition unless otherwise noted (i.e. evidence of mildew or bent corners, etc.)
M (Mint)
The record and sleeve are in perfect, original condition. The record may have been played but will have no evidence of deterioration. (I will only use this grade on SEALED records that appear to be Mint as I believe any non-new, opened record cannot be truly called MINT.
NM (Near Mint)
A nearly perfect record. Any visible defects are of the type that "disappear" when the record is tilted under a strong light and they should not affect play. Sleeves in near mint condition will have no obvious signs of wear. Practically imperceptible ring wear may be allowed but no creases, seam-splits, or other easily detected flaws will be present.
EX (Excellent)
A very clean record. Near mint except for slight, superficial signs of wear. Sleeves in this condition may have marginal defects, but will not have significant creases or splits.
VG+ (Very Good Plus)
A well-cared-for record that is noticeably less than perfect, but defects are not visually or audibly distracting. Record surfaces may have slight scuffs or light scratches, but are still primarily clean. Sleeves may have some creases or minor ring wear, but should not be split.
VG (Very Good)
A used, reasonable copy to play. Many of the defects found in a VG+ copy will be more pronounced in VG condition. Surface noise may be evident and sleeves may look worn, but the record is still a decent copy.
G (Good)
A well-worn record that is still playable. Good does not necessarily mean "bad" but a record in this condition will have audible distractions and may have visible groove wear. Sleeves may have all manner of defects, but are still intact.
FA (Fair) and P (Poor)
These grades are for beat-up records. I will only sell records in these grades if they are extremely rare and sought-after.
