Edition of 500 LP's on 180-gram neon yellow vinyl, including a download code. Instrumental band MESSAGE had a similar sound as NEKTAR, though slightly heavier, darker, jazzier and rawer. Originally a German-British venture, the music of MESSAGE oscillates between heavy rock and psychedelic rock. 'From Books And Dreams' was put to tape in 1973 with famous studio owner Dieter Dierks, who recorded many of the best Krautrock records between 1969 and '75. The result sounds very melodic, with a ravishing and an accomplished lyrical sense of composition.

The debut LP from MESSAGE was excellent , though, it took until the second album for them to reveal their full potential. Even without a second guitarrist and running-in a new drummer, part of the key to FROM BOOKS AND DREAMS success was DIETER DIERCKS enthusiasm , phenomenal production and vivid recording. Yes, right through it's an album of astonishing creativity , menacing and intensely powerful, with bizarre surreal dream image lyrics and all sorts of surprising twists in the music. Die Debut LP von MESSAGE war hervorragend aber erst mit Ihrer zweiten LP schöpfte die Band ihr volles Potential aus.
