Description
I bought this about 25 years ago from a car boot sale. I never got round to playing it.
The box has what seems to be the usual patination. The silver paint has all but gone from the lid and the base has some surface corrosion.
The "METAL 1" sticker is intact.
Inside the box is good, the lid has some deterioration - I think from finger contact, but the base is fresh looking. No dents.
The paper insert is a little dog eared and foxed.
The five paper disc dividers are intact. One is slightly creased - this is the top one that is removed to see the discs. A little bit of foxing.
Getting the discs out of the box requires a bit of dexterity as they are a tight fit. You have to take them all out in one go.
Now, I know that Disc 1 - Side 1 isn’t mint, because I’ve just played it to listen for any scratches. I can tell it is vinyl (there are some slight noises), but I can’t hear any scratches. I have recorded this track as a 6MB MP3. Perhaps I can mail all or a section of it to you for sampling purposes if that is permitted on ebay.
I haven’t played any other sides. There are no visible marks on any of the disc surfaces.
I’ve discovered that vinyl is the hardest thing to photograph. I’ve managed to photograph part of Disc 1 - Side 1 to show the condition. The other sides are just as good. I don’t know if they have been played at all.
