A RARE CHANCE TO OWN THE GENUINE 1986 UK FIRST PRESSING
This is the holy grail for Metallica collectors: the original UK Music For Nations (MFN 60P) picture disc. This is the First Issue, easily identified by the absence of a barcode on the reverse side.
Vinyl Condition and Audio:
This copy is a fantastic player. I was a big Metallica fan in the 1980s and early 1990s and bought this as soon as it was released, along with a black vinyl copy. I didn't really play this much as it was the first picture disc I'd ever owned and I wanted to keep it pristine. It has just been play-tested today and sounds incredible—loud, punchy, and clear.
Visual: Excellent (EX). Great gloss, no heavy scratching or browning.
Audio: Excellent (EX). Minimal surface noise, plays through perfectly with no skips or jumps.
Authenticity: Verified ORLAKE etching in the runout groove (Side A: MFN+60P+A ORLAKE / Side B: MFN+60P+B ORLAKE).
Provenance:
No Barcode: This confirms it is the limited first run from early 1986, not the later repress. These are very sought after versions.
Sleeve: Housed in its original clear PVC sleeve.
UK and international shipping: The record will be packed in a professional mailer with stiffeners. I always ship the vinyl outside of the PVC sleeve to prevent seam splits during transit.
