Ride the Lightning" is the 2nd full-length studio album by US thrash metal act Metallica. The album was released in August 1984 by Elektra Records. "Ride the Lightning" is indeed a big step forward for Metallica in every possible way. Rather than staying in the US to record the album Metallica went to Denmark to record with prolific Danish producer Flemming Rasmussen (Blind Guardian, Morbid Angel among others) ~ Three singles were released with the album in "Fade to Black", "Creeping Death" and "For Whom the Bell Tolls". The album has sold more than 5 million copies in the US alone. (*Metal Music Archives)
**Master Disk**
"It was found that master disks/master recordings could be made so that the resulting record quality would sound better. Master disk are subjected to further electronic treatment by a specialist. This is done by making fine adjustments to the amplitude of sound at different frequency bands (equalization) & then applied to one master disk which was then used to reproduce several thousands of records" (wiki)

NM - Near Mint - in factory fresh condition, like new. EX+- close to like new with only superficial signs of use that do not affect play. EX- A used, reasonable copy. Shows slight signs of wear. VG+- There will be obvious signs of wear and the possibility a few scuffs - could include light surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages, still plays great. VG- significant wear and marks - would b noticeable - may have surface noise -still plays very well with no disruption. Good- Would only sell if the Record/Cover were Rare ~ Highly Desirable and/or Limited/Special Edition vinyl/jacket cover
