The $5.98 E.P.: Garage Days Re-Revisited is an extended play by the American heavy metal band Metallica. It was released on August 21, 1987 through Elektra Records.
The group included the dollar price in the title (which was printed on the cover) in an effort to ensure that fans were not over-charged for it, though some retailers did ultimately charge more than the $5.98 price referenced in the title.
Though The $5.98 E.P.: Garage Days Re-Revisited has been out of print for many years and is considered a collector's item, all five tracks were later included on the 1998 double-album Garage Inc., along with a number of other covers Metallica had recorded throughout its career, as well as a collection of entirely new recordings.

MINT..UNPLAYED.. never on turntable...
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition...
NM/M- (Near Mint): Like new, looks un-played.
VG+: A few very faint surface marks, nothing that will affect play...
VG: A few more marks than a VG+. Used but not abused...sleeve marks or wax marks..
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover and extra items, without any major defects is acceptable.
VG-: Light scuffs and light scratches, there will be light surface wear to the record. Expect some light surface noise in parts or a few clicks or pops here and there.

Metallica is an American heavy metal band from Los Angeles, California. The band's fast tempos, instrumentals, and aggressive musicianship placed them as one of the founding "big four" of thrash metal alongside Slayer, Megadeth, and Anthrax. Metallica formed in 1981 when James Hetfield responded to an advertisement that drummer Lars Ulrich had posted in a local newspaper. The current line-up features founders Hetfield (vocals, rhythm guitar) and Ulrich (drums), longtime lead guitarist Kirk Hammett and bassist Robert Trujillo since 2003.
