EX/NM Used Audiophile Vinyl Record
Record Label: Mobile Fidelity MFSL 1-005
Long Out Of Print, Half-speed re-mastering of the classic Supertramp title... the first rock album to be given the audiophile Mobile Fidelity treatment. Sourced from the original stereo analog master tapes. Half Speed Mastered by Stan Ricker and pressed on High Definition Super Vinyl by the Victor Company of Japan.
Mobile Fidelity reissues are among the finest recordings ever produced and very limited in quantity.
Condition: Sleeve has very little wear. There are a couple of light horizontal creases near the spine and a vertical indent line just to the right of the "p" in "Supertramp" on the front cover. Spine has a few spots of very light chipping. Corners opposite the spine are dull, others are sharp. Comes with original Mobile fidelity 4-page hype flier (you don't see these too often - it even lists the reference hi-fi they test these records on). There are no spindle marks on the label. Japanese Super Vinyl looks beautiful and plays like new.

Review: Crime Of The Century is probably the most unknown album ever that can be called truly amazing. The sound of this album (particularly on an original vinyl copy) just takes you into another world. It is the only album I know that perfectly combines catchy songwriting with the epic darkness of progressive rock. The album does have its up-tempo lighter songs, such as "Bloody Well Right" and "Dreamer", as well as otherworldly epics like "Asylum" and the title track, "Crime Of The Century". This album sounds like no other.
