Description
One of Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab's most well known releases....Pink Floyd's 'The Dark Side Of The Moon' (MFSL 1-017) I've always preferred the standard half-speed mastered pressing to the more costly and over-hyped UHQR version. Primarily because I find the former more balanced and detailed (in the mid-range especially) than the UHQR; which I find too "dense" and/or bottom heavy. If you are properly set up with a decent turntable, cartridge, and stylus...this pressing will blow your mind.
Gatefold Jacket: Excellent(+).....due to the type of paper used and the black matte color, this cover is highly prone to wear and tear. Though not perfect, this one has held up very well. Spine is almost wear-free....edges are near-perfect without seam splits. Front of the cover shows some lines and some rubbing marks but it is really at a minimum. Have a good look at the pictures (using the zoom feature) All things considered, this is a very fine looking example.
Protective Cardboard Inner: Near Mint
Inserts: Near Mint
Original Audiophile Inner-Sleeve: Near Mint
Record: Near Mint.....Yes, the record looks and plays as good as the pictures....even better. In fact, it looks unplayed. That's because it was only played TWICE from new. I am the original owner and I can assure you that 99.9% of this record grades a solid Near Mint verging on Mint. Only one imperfection was noted at the very, VERY end of the last song on Side 2 (Eclipse) ....a scratchy sound is heard. It literally lasts for 1 second and the cause is obviously due to a minor pressing anomaly. No other ticks, pops, or other imperfections were noted.
