A unique combination of amazing musicians,  the group known as the Manhattan Transfer has received much acclaim. Over the course of many decades, the group has been successful playing, recording, and performing music of several different styles and genres. In 1981, the Manhattan Transfer made "Grammy" history taking awards in both Pop and Jazz categories. The "Extensions" album features the Grammy Award winning "Birdland", along with the hit song "Twilight Zone" that reached #12 on Billboard's Disco Chart, and # 30 on the Hot 100. Extensions was #55 on the Billboard Magazine Top LPs.

This group epitomizes the term "Fusion" by bringing together jazz, vocals, funk, with guitars, horns,  and lots of energy to deliver music that is sophisticated and stirring. This item is one of the only 5000 copies of the Extensions album ever pressed by MFSL. It is one of greatest reproductions of this fine music available anywhere!
