Description
This is the great Jazz classic double LP releases by Louis Armstrong & Duke Ellington titled Together For The First Time/ The Great Reunion, MFSL 2-155. . This is an open copy! In absolutely Perfect shape! The vinyl is visually flawless, on both records; all 4 sides. … Each side play graded as a 10 out of 10. The only thing I heard that could be called an imperfection was a couple very quiet ‘clicks’ on side One, song 3 or 4..(..this was really almost inaudible & other than the fact that I listen at higher sound levels than most people would, it wouldn’t even be heard).
So in real terms; there were no ticks, pops or noise of any type….I wasn’t even aware that I was listening to a record. . There just was no surface noise anywhere on these. Cover, protective inserts & rice paper sleeves are all mint! No wear or paper cracks at all on anything here. This is a great pressing; an outstanding sounding recording!! The only time I played it was now to grade it.
Records have been stored upright in protective Mylar sleeve, not inside cover. Each side of each record has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty record cleaning machine, both before & after playing.
Remastered as only Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs can do it! Very rare & out of print albums. This was one of the greatest titles mofi ever did!… A true Classic! ............... Songs are:
Record One- Side1- Duke's Place
I'm Just A Lucky So & So
Cotton Tail
Mood Indigo
Do Nothin Till You Hear From Me
Side2- Beautiful American
Black & Tan Fantasy
Drop Me Off At Harlem

Record Two- Side3-
It Doesn't Mean A Thing (If You Ain't Got That Swing)
Solitude Listen
Don't Get Around Much Anymore
I'm Beginning To See The Light
Side 4- Just Squeeze Me (But Don't Tease Me)
I Got It Bad (And That Ain't Good) (Live)

Musicians on this are: Louis Armstrong (Trumpet & Vocals), Duke Ellington (Piano), Trummy Young (Trombone), Barney Bigard (Clarinet), Mort Herbert (Bass) & Danny Barcelona (Drums). Big band as it was meant to be heard!
Originally released on the Roulette label in 1962. These were separate releases at the time any first came out. MFSL released these as a set in 1984. You won’t find a better copy of this one out there.
Special care taken through out the manufacturing process.
These LPs were remastered with the Original master tapes of the recording session. Half- speed Production and Mastering by Masteringworks. Pressed on to special super virgin high definition vinyl by Victor Company of Japan, ltd. The surfaces on there are virtually perfect so noise is not a factor. You would have to hear these to realize what an excellent product MFSL has made here. These are rare & out of print records which don't show up often here on Ebay.
