For sale is a MFSL aka Mobile Fidelity or MoFi Beatles "Original Master Recordings" "The Collection" Box Set in Mint Condition. I am the original owner, having purchased this while I was in college around 1982-3. After I got it, I played only one or two of the records one time. I remember being astonished by the sound. It truly did sound like you were listening to the master tapes. I used a top of the line audiophile phono cartridge (probably the Shure V15 V). None of the other records were touched. It has sat on the shelf in a protective bag and has not been played since then. Perhaps you are wondering why I only played one or two of the records? Well, I am more of a classical music audiophile and at one time had thousands of classical records which I did play (nothing against the Beatles). I'm getting old now and it's time to pass this desirable and hard to get box set on to someone else.
Included with the fourteen records are the Art Book which contains the album art and notes, and the Geo-Disc for setting up your cartridge and tonearm precisely for the best sonic results. Everything is there, including the original high quality record sleeves. There may be a few light marks on the box but it looks pretty close to new.
I am setting a reasonable Buy it Now price, for the lower end of what this item has fetched here.
The box set will be carefully packed so it should arrive undamaged. I prefer to ship UPS (will use USPS if you prefer).
