Description
This is the 1st pressing version released by Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab in June of 1979. One of the ways of establishing this is by the non-slanting lettering at the top of the gatefold jacket. Later printings had the slanted variety. As well, the matrix numbers have A2/B2 for 1st pressings. The audio from this pressing is superb....well balanced, detailed and distortion-free. Mobile Fidelity also released a more limited and specialized version of this title...Ultra High Quality Recording or UHQR. I purchased this as well and found there was not a significant difference in the audio between the regular pressing and the UHQR. I am offering my once-played copy to all those audiophiles who want to have a final upgrade of this iconic album by Pink Floyd.
Condition of Gatefold Jacket: Near Mint.....beautiful, solidly constructed gatefold jacket....showing only the slightest signs of wear to some of the edges and corners...please see the photos I've uploaded for more detail.
Condition of 2 Original Inserts & Inner-Sleeve: Near Mint
Condition of Record: Near Mint.....literally played ONCE from new.......visually, there are 1 or 2 sleeve removal scuffs but they have no bearing on the sensational audio.
