of the Rolling Stones Sticky Fingers.
The primary is the Japanese OMR by Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs. The other is a vintage pressing with a working zipper.

HISTORY
I bought this record new in 1985 while working at a hi-fi store in Santa Barbara, California. The record has not been exposed to tobacco smoke, pets or children.
VINYL
Since 1985, I've played this record 2-3 times. It was always wet-cleaned before playing. It was played on an AR-ES 1 or a Pro-Ject Xperience 2 with a Grado Sonata/ Platinum cartridge. The most recent playing was last night as a test. The record sounds great. It's quiet, it's dynamic, there is a low noise floor, and there are no skips or scratches. A visual inspection of the record (see photos) shows it to be M or NM. The vinyl used in making these editions is called, 'virgin-vinyl' and it's so pure that when you hold it up to the light, you can see the glow of the bulb through the record.
COVER
The cover is VG+. There is no (circular) shelf wear, no creases, no cuts, no scratches, no knock out holes, no splitting, no silverfish damage, no water stains. There is some edge wear, and the front right corner is slightly dented. (See photos.) The back of the cover has a small indentation from the (real) zipper of the other copy of Sticky Fingers which is being included in this auction. It's so small that it's hard to photograph, but I've included arrows and call-out b/c that's how I roll.
INSERTS
All original inserts are included; the rice paper sleeve, the reinforced bi-fold interior protective sleeve, the 2-sided B&W photo showing the original sleeve art, and the promo insert for the GEO-Disk... are all VG+ or better — there are no rips, tears, holes, water staining, splitting or silverfish damage; only the amount of wear that can be expected from an item that is almost 40 years old and has been played a few times and moved a few times.
RECORD TWO
A vintage pressing of Sticky Fingers with a working zipper.
This record is a freebee, so pardon my rather minimal enthusiasm. The best thing about this record is definitely that is has a working zipper. It has a crease on the front top by the 'belt' — there is some writing on the inside of the sleeve (see photos), the inner inner sleeve is very split on one side, and though side one of the record sounds pretty good, I (wet-cleaned and) tried to play side two, and (even though it looks pretty good) it was skipping and sounding like there was dirt in the grooves, so I immediately lost interest, and can't report what the rest of side two sounds like.
So what's the point?
As awesome as the Original Master Recording is as a collectable and as great as it sounds, the zipper on the cover of the OMR is only 'printed' there — OK, so they used gold metallic paint, but I've always thought that Andy Warhol's original cover with the working zipper should be in the archives of any serious record collector. So I bought this VERY marginal copy (used) in Boulder, CO in the 80s just so I had it as a novelty and a compliment to the OMR. And since they've been together for decades, the back of the OMR is already 'pre-dented' so they will fit together very nicely on your shelf.
