Description
Stan Kenton Plays Wagner LP SEALED Audiophile Release on Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs - This Original Master Recording is in frequently available in this condition which is still SEALED. This and other audiophile recordings are from my personal collection that dates back to the 70's. I have taken great care of these and often bought several copies just in case I wore one out or got damaged. Given the great care I have taken, I have been fortunate that damage and wear have not been an issue. I am selling them at this time so that others can enjoy these rare and incredible recordings. ENJOY!
Recently, I have been been informed that one collector has been sending bidders/potential buyers an email that defames me and the mfsl items I am selling. You might note that I have a perfect feedback rating as a seller. I am not sure of his intent as he has bought several and seemed upset when he was outbid on a cd he thought he had won and expected to receive. If you receive such an email, I would appreciate your forwarding it to me as ebay is most concerned by his behavior. Apparently, some people have too much time and money and choose to manipulate others to their advantage - Sad state. I stand behind what I sell as these are from my personal collection and I have been around MOFI since the 70s (yes, I am getting old).
Brad Miller OR Stan Ricker engineered this to provide the ultimate reproduction that makes you feel like you are in the studio -FIRST RATE
Sit back, crank up the stereo (maybe put on some headphones) and become enveloped in this incredibly warm and rich recording. Yes, the cd, including the remaster is good, but they cannot touch this recording.
Why? The original master tapes were used when they were fresh from the session and most likely brand new. Further, under the renowned master engineers, Ricker and/or Miller, these tapes were turned into the most, magnificent recording.
Why is this important? The original master tapes were used when they were NEW. Unfortunately, master tapes do not maintain their integrity and thus, their original high audio quality without intensive maintenance that must occur every 3 and no more than 5 years. As the recording industry moved to digital (a mere sample of the audio on the tape [16 bits or worse yet an mp3 with the rough equivalent of 1 bit]) digital masters were created. Although easier to maintain, bit loss during transfer further reduces the accuracy of the reproduction from the digital master which has already lost much of the detail form the full audio spectrum analog master. Few studios or bands maintained their analog masters; thus, when a remaster comes out it is from an inferior source. Only the original pressings and recordings from the original master tapes, when the master was new, provide the rich, warm and MOST accurate reproduction available. If you want the best, the original master recording from Japan are the very, very best available. MFSL, Mastersound and a few others did their half speed original master recording in Japan with the best technology.
