Description
Originally released by Warner Music/Atlantic Records in 1978, 'Some Girls' is now considered by many to be The Rolling Stones' last gasp of greatness. Produced by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards (cited as 'The Glimmer Twins') the album contained a terrific assortment of styles ranging from hard rock, to blues-rock, rock n' roll, and even some country. Recorded entirely in Paris, France, the album was engineered and mixed by Chris Kimsey who Keith Richards said had a lot to do with the way the tracks sounded in the end. Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab released an audiophile version of the album in March of 1983 and many (including myself) consider this to be the best pressing available for this album....the sound is balanced, vocals and instruments are sharp and clear, the bass is well defined. The audio is simply outstanding.
Condition of Lp Jacket: Near Mint(-) .....free of ugly saw-cuts or hole punches, (which diminishes value) this cover is nearly perfect with just a couple of the corners showing minor wear.
Condition of protective inner: Near Mint
Condition of Record: Near Mint ~ Mint.....really quite impressive....both sides look unplayed. Labels are perfect. I don't recall hearing any ticks, pops, or static during the entire playback....superb audio from start to finish.
