Description
The very best of the best vinyl recordings available...the UHQR from Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs. This is number 3089 of only 5000 of Pink Floyd "Dark Side of the Moon" produced by Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs.
I am the original purchaser of this disc and a collector of MFSL recordings since the companies inception in 1977.
The disc has been played only once and returned to it's protective sleeve and shelved vertically in a smoke free climate controlled environment for the last 35 or so years.
I am in no way certified or accredited at grading vinyl, I draw on my personal experience of the last 45 years as an audiophile and I offer my best description based on that experience and industry standards. The only way you could obtain a cleaner disc, would be a sealed disc, this disc is NM. The disc is pristine with no dust, spots or defects visible. It was not photographed in order to minimize the risk of dirt, dust or any other contaminates form being deposited on the surface. I would rate it Near Mint only because I played it back in the day when I bought it new.
Set is complete with all original contents; Certificate of authenticity, Technical Specifications etc. and has what seems to be typical of others in that a slight tear at the top and bottom of the inner sleeve (see pics) due to the thickness of the disc. The outer box has a few small chafes (pics) on the edges of the black edge. There is a small spot on the outer box to the extreme left of the word "Fidelity". I believe the cover it would rate VG++ due to these minor external visual defects.
I am offering this and other pieces of my MFSL, Nautilus, CBS Masterworks, and Japanes import collection in the coming days, I hope you will enjoy them as much as I have collecting and listening to them.
Disc(s) will be shipped insured in a wooden shipping "crate". There will be a $5.00 packing and handling charge to ensure safe delivery via USPS Media Mail to your door, signature required. Cardboard is insufficient for an irreplaceable disc of this value. Please ask any questions you may have as all sales are final.
