I am offering a Very Good++ copy of the MOBILE FIDELITY SOUND LAB UHQR--THE PLANETS--catalog # MFQR 1-510. This ULTRA HIGH QUALITY RECORD (UHQR) was pressed on 200 gram virgin vinyl by the JVC company in Japan. It is also half-speed mastered. The sound is fabulous, as anyone who has heard one knows. This is not a perfect copy and is priced accordingly. There are three very light surface scratches about 1/8" long on side one. There are a few small very faint surface scratches on side two that are only visible under strong direct light. None of these scratches should be audible while playing the LP. Other than that the surfaces are extremely clean and glossy. Many people would describe this LP as a Near Mint copy but, according to the GOLDMINE SYSTEM of LP grading, it is not. Near Mint LPs must be virtually perfect with, at most, a single tiny light scuff on a side. Mint LPs must be absolutely perfect and look "as new". The box, attached technical manual, foam inserts, and inner cardboard jacket are in Near Mint condition. All of the box corners and seams are tight and there are no scratches or scuffs on the box. Unfortunately, the MFSL certificate is missing, as it was when I bought it. The pressing number written on the inside cardboard jacket is 1189 out of a run of 5000. Here is an opportunity to aquire this very rare LP at a low price. True Mint copies of this LP typically go for around $150 on ebay. I'm selling this copy because I just bought a sealed copy for $280. USPS First Class shipping and insurance is free within the Continental USA. I do not ship to Canada or overseas. Sorry.
