Description
This is a very nice stereo Japanese pressing of Herbert von Karajan and the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra performing Debussy’s La Mer and Prélude à l’aprés-midi d’un faune and Ravel’s Bolero as issued by Mobile Fidelity (catalogue number MFSL 1-513). The record is a regular weight LP (NOT 180g) and was originally issued by Angel/EMI Records. The record is from my personal collection and was initially cleaned on a VPI record vacuum and treated with Last Record preservative. It was re-cleaned with an Audio Desk Ultra-sonic record cleaner.
The record was recently play-graded using a Lyra Kleos cartridge on a VPI Classic IV turntable. Appearance-wise, the record is in near mint condition with no scuffs or scratches and plays quietly with 18 light ticks noted on side 1 and 25 on side 2.
The jacket is in very good condition with no seam splits or bends, but there is some ring wear along the top on the front and back and some slight compression in the corners. There is also a Last sticker on the back cover. The LP is missing the original MFSL cardboard inner sleeve protector.
