Description
This is a MEGA RARE test pressing of MGMT's self-titled album "MGMT"!!
There were only 75 of these test pressings made and this one is individually numbered on the label: # 61 / 75
I have listed this on other sites, but if a bid is placed here on eBay, I will remove it from all other sites so if you are interested, you'd better bid quickly!
These were never for sale as they were given away as promotional items (this one by my local record store) for the release of this album.
The labels say it was manufactured in The Netherlands by Furnace MFG with the website and phone number of the plant along with the words RECORD INDUSTRY. As it is a test pressing, it contains no information about the artist or titles on the labels.
I believe this is 140g vinyl but it could be 180g.
I put condition as "Used" only because I did test play one track to verify that it was indeed MGMT. Otherwise, this LP is 99.9% unplayed and remains in pristine condition. Vinyl is shiny with no scratches or marks.
Also comes with original poly-lined black paper sleeve which does have a few small splits on the sides. (This is how it was when I received it)
This is a MUST-HAVE for any MGMT fan or even just collectors of test pressings in general. There are only 75 copies of this in existence and this is number 61! I've never seen another copy for sale anywhere online.
