VINYL CONDITION: NM-:  Super-clean vinyl for being over 30 years old! Nice original shine. This record was aurally and visually graded. 

A-side plays like brand-new with no surface noise or skips - a very minor scuff mark is only visually detectable surface wear. 

B-side plays very clean as well, with a few light dust-like pops that are nearly inaudible and only occur momentarily in the first two tracks - also contains a few minor surface marks.  No skips.

LABEL CONDITION: Amazingly clean NM Guinn label (see photos).

COVER/SLEEVE CONDITION: VG+: Very strong overall ... however, there is a slight warp on the bottom-right edge of cover and minor edge-wear on spine (see pictures!!!).  Slight water damage on bottom of back cover (see photos).

Record is in a clear anti-scratch sleeve.  We will also send the original paper sleeve.

Additional details:  Ultra-rare original pressing of Michael Angelo's first & only LP on Guinn.  This is some hard to find underground psych-folk from Kansas City.  Album was released in 1977 - only 500 pressed! This is NOT one of the repressed copies. Check the photos for finer details. E-mail with any questions.

Here at Suitcase Records, we use the Goldmine Grading Scale when examining all vinyl/covers/labels. When testing records to determine an audio grade, we use a Bang & Olfusen Beogram 3404 turntable. This is a hands-free, automatic record player - which means the needle is never dropped manually onto the record. This assures that, if the record was NM before we played it, it stays NM after we play it.

NM: Near Mint: Looks like it was just opened for the first time. Nearly perfect. Original shine, no visible scratches, wear, or other imperfections. We typically do not use "Mint" as a grade, as we have rarely stumbled across a truly perfect used record.  Variations may also include "M-", or Mint Minus, indicating that the record, sleeve, or label is flawless, with a specific, and seemingly minor exception.   NM Vinyl: Shiny, with no visible defects. If played, it will do so with no surface noise. Goldmine indicates that NM records don't mean "never played" - as a record played on an excellent turntable can remain NM after many plays, if properly cared for.   NM Covers/Sleeves: No creases, ring-wear or seam splits of any kind.   NM Labels: No marks, writing, ring-wear, residue, or any other visible imperfection. Decoloration would also disqualify a label from being graded NM.   VG++: Very Good Plus-Plus: Except for one, possibly two minor imperfections, this would be a near-mint record/sleeve/label. There is a fine line when determining VG++, and VG+. Slight surface scuffs/scratches can be seen, but not heard. No noise, and a lot of original shine to the vinyl.   VG++ Labels: Only the slightest of ring-wear or signs of decoloration. This grading is not as commonly used for our labels. If used, detailed explanation will be provided as to how VG++ was determined for the label. For covers, this grading typically means that only the slightest of creases are present, or possible a slightly imperfect corner. No writing, and no evident ring-wear.   VG+: Very Good Plus: Allows for a "few" imperfections; such as slight ring-wear, light scuffs and/or very light scratches that may produce slight noise during play, but do not adversely affect the listening experience. Slight warps may also be present, but also wouldn't affect play. Also may have light decoloration, and/or slight inner wear at center hole.   VG+ Labels: Slight ring-wear, surface imperfections, and, on rare occasions, very light, "nearly-invisible" markings or residue.   VG: Very Good: More obvious flaws are present in this grade. Lack most of the original gloss found in a NM record. Groove wear is evident on-sight, as are light scratches, deep enough to be spotted, or, according to Goldmine, "felt" (we do not use this 'touch' method when grading). Also includes surface noise, but not overwhelmingly so.   VG Labels: May include light writing, heavier ring-wear, stickers, or other random markings.   VG-: Very Good Minus: Still plays without skipping (almost always, if a record has a skip, we will not sell it). Significant noise that may interfere with the listening experience. Significant surface damage and groove wear means almost all of the "shine" of the vinyl is gone.   VG- Labels: Significant ring-wear, large tears, large amounts of writing, wear that makes titles or other information difficult or impossible to read/decipher. Typically, if a label receives a VG- grading in our store, it's either extremely rare, or the vinyl is in significantly better condition.     Please feel free to contact us with any questions about grading definitions, or questions you may have about possible conflicts with our determinations. Grading records is by no means an exact science, and we always default to the more conservative grading/estimation.

Sometimes, a record will receive an official grading, but we will note that a record plays closer to a higher grade - indicating a "Strong" version of the final grade.
