Description
ARGO ZDA154: MICHAEL GARRICK 'Home Stretch Blues'
UK jazz rarity from 1972, Garrick (p/harpsichord) was joined by Norma Winstone (voc), Henry Lowther (tp/fl-h/vln), Art Themen/Don Rendell (reeds), Dave Green (b) and Trevor Tomkins (d). This is a Decca/Argo stereo pressing with yellow/silver printing label.
Rendell plays on the following only #.
Side 1 'Home Stretch Blues' #/'Sweet And Low'/'Epiphany' #
Side 2 'Fire Opal and Blue Poppies (A Sequence Of Visions)'
CONDITION/DESCRIPTION: The disc is EtoE+/E+ (VG+toVG++/VG++) with some very light scratches/scuffs only, visible under a bright 'grading' light. Side 1 has more of these with one or two looking slighly heavier. These have little affect on the playing. There is also some surface dirt, again more on side 1. This disc would benefit from being cleaned. The cover is E+ (VG++), with slight corner damage and slight surface rubbing/scratching. In the top left hand corner of the front, there is a small patch of residue from the removal of a sticky label.
