Description
For sale is a very rare TEST PRESSING of Michael Nesmith’s (Formerly of The Monkees) 1977 album From a Radio To The Photon Wing! This is from the Santa Maria pressing plant which is located less than 10 miles from where I live. The disc is in beautiful condition and comes in a generic outer sleeve. See below for details:
Matrix/Runouts:
A: Etched: ILPS-9486-A - 1 (circled) SM Stamped: KENDUN -a (etched) A2 S1
B: Etched: ILPS-9486-B - 2 (circled) SM Stamped: KENDUN -b (etched) S1
Sleeve: Generic
Disc: VG+ to EX
Beautiful glossy sheen…no deep scratches or scuffs. Only some faint hairlines that appear/disappear when tilted under bright light. Gorgeous example!
Labels: VG (?)
Hard to grade really since writing on the labels was pretty much expected. These white Columbia Records Santa Maria Test Pressing labels are overall in great condition. Someone at the factory I presume wrote “1. Rio” on the A Side label and “1st & Last” on the B Side. There are a few spindle marks when tilted under bright light but that is all.
Shipping is $5 in the USA via USPS Media Mail. Disc is ultrasonically cleaned, placed into an archival inner sleeve and put in a generic cardboard sleeve. It will be packaged very securely.
International shipping is through eBay’s global shipping program and I have no say in the cost or fees of that. I’ve used it twice now to ship to very happy customers in the UK so I will continue using it.
