Description
This is a TuesdayAfternoonVinyl special you won't find anywhere else but here: BOTH solo LP's by The Moody Blues multi instrumentalist Michael Pinder. And BOTH are NEW! The first is a 1976 first and only press of his debut solo LP "The Promise". Awesome cover, and its in great shape, still sealed / wrapped in the original shrink wrap. The corners have poked through the shrink just a bit, and it is a cut out bin copy with a saw mark front top left. This is one of the best, if not THE best, solo Moody Blues album released during their "sabbatical" between "Seventh Sojourn" and their comeback album "Octave", of which he played on the entire album but only wrote one song for it, "One Step Into The Light", a highlight on that album. The second LP here is Pinder's 1994 LP "Among The Stars". I bought this LP NEW from Mike, and it's both NUMBERED (#617 of 1100 copies) and AUTOGRAPHED! Scarce copy on vinyl, and it has BLUE VINYL inside the gatefold cover. The corners have a bit of bumping and rounding, one in particular has a bit of rough so please see the photos. This was never in shrink wrap, sold new but open. Pinder never seems to get the recognition he deserved as he was the "leader" of the Moodies, named all the albums, wrote some of their most classic songs, and his mellotron, especially, and various keyboards and guitars were paramount to the vibe of their "classic seven" LPs, and his replacement by a certain Swiss keyboardist was a huge mistake, and though they did put out some hugely popular singles and albums in the 80's, their albums NEVER achieved the sonic and spiritual sound of their 60's / 70's material, and never held together as albums. Don't get me started on his snub by the band at their induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame only months after Ray Thomas passed.. Fans wanted to see a reunion with Mike! Great musician, period We aim to exceed expectations! Thanks for looking in our store. If you haven't shopped with us before, check out our feedback to see you can buy here with confidence. It is always important to READ THE FULL DESCRIPTION and VIEW ALL PHOTOS. We've been selling on eBay for awhile now, having stopped for a slew of surgeries and now retired from employment because of it. So, we're opening up a record store where it will be easier for me to stay active with my issues, and all proceeds from sales of our (mostly rare / scarce) vinyl goes towards making our store a reality (building records racks now, and our CD racks are full!). I post here as often as I can, please message if you're looking for something in particular. WE MAIL UNTO OTHERS AS WE WOULD HAVE THEM MAIL TO US! This will be by Media Mail, which is a bit slower but allows us to ship all US vinyl purchases FREE! We use official LP mailers with the record outside the cover, and in clean white sleeves separately from any photo inner sleeves. All vinyl is cleaned with an enzyme spray then finished with a SpinClean Machine. With sealed vinyl, please understand that we will only accept returns if the LP is still sealed, which is for our financial protection as well as yours. To all our regulars, its good to be back and we look forward to hearing from you. If you ever see wrong information in our listings, let us know, we love the trivia and always strive to be accurate. Thanks for looking, and good luck on your search for amazing music. Greg and Michelle Mitchell
