Nice 1st Pressing stereo copy of classical Capitol LP, "The Magic Bow", a collection of favorite short pieces of the solo violinist's repertory of composer Michael Rabin,  performed on this recording by The Hollywood Bowl Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Felix Slatkin. There is no pressing or release date on either the record or the jacket, but based on the record label design I would "guestimate" it is from the late 1950's to early 1960's.

Vinyl = Visual Grade - VG.
Play Grade - VG+.
Heavy vinyl in very good condition, plays much better than it looks (see more about this below in "Grading"). Vinyl still retains nice gloss with moderate playwear. Very slightly warped, which does not affect playback.
Side 1 has quite a few very light hairline scuffs, what appears to be a factory "ding" near the beginning of Track 3, and two short, barely feelable hairline scratches. The "ding" causes a couple of pops, and the "feelies" make light "tics" for several revs.
Side 2 also has quite a few hairline scuffs (although none are feelable) which cause light "tics" in several places.
Overall, playback quality is still quite enjoyable and none of the surface damage really overpowers the music.

Jacket =EX+. Thick American-style brown back cardboard cover in excellent shape. Corners are nice and square,  just lightly bumped. All seams are intact with very light wear only on the top and spine. Front laminated cover is very nice with just a hint of soil on white areas and two small brownish "age" type spots near the top and bottom left corners. Short, light wrinkle in slick top left corner. Back cover is very nice and white background looks great, with just a hint of soil/faint age discoloration around the edges. There are a few light wrinkles where the slick was not smoothed down correctly when applied, but they do not seriously detract. Bottom left corner has a slight bend.

Grading:

We use Goldmine Record grading standards. Records and jackets/sleeves are visually graded under high intensity light, and all details noted are included in the item description. We strive to include complete, acurate condition and description information to the best of our ability.

Some records, especially rare ones or those with damage such as "feelies" (scratches deep enough to be felt with a fingernail), also will be listened to and receive a separate play grade. This assures that the vinyl neither "skips" (misses playing some of the grooves), "sticks" (plays the same groove over and over), or has excessive background noise. Any "tics" (clicking or popping sounds made when the record player needle moves over a scuff or scratch) or other surface noise, will be noted in the description. 

We generally do not sell any record that grades lower than VG-, unless it is exceptionally rare, or play grades higher than the visual grade. Goldmine states (and we concur) that: "... older LPs (1950 to about 1971) tend to play better than they look, and newer LPs (at least until 1989) tend to play worse than they look." In particular, we have found that older heavy weight "mono" vinyl usually can withstand considerable play and handling abuse with little or no compromise in fidelity or playability.
