MAX BRUCH Scottish Fantasy WIENIAWSKI Violin Concerto No 1 in F Sharp Minor performed by MICHAEL RABIN and Philharmonia Orchestra
Issue : RARE UK ED1 PRESS Label : COLUMBIA Catalogue No : 33CX 1538
This UK rare 1st press is on the earliest blue and gold Columbia label. It is complete with the original polylined inner sleeve and laminated flipback sleeve. Michael Rabin and the Philharmonia Orchestra are conducted by Sir Adrian Boult.
The vinyl is in Very Good+ condition. The vinyl has a sensational jet black gloss and no sign of heavy play at all. There are just a couple of light marks and a few wispy hairlines on both sides. The labels are extremely clean with vivid blue and bright gold text.
When played the sound is Excellent, rich and vibrant. There are moments of the slightest background noise but this does little to spoil the enjoyment of this rare original 1st edition. It sounds superb. Excellent clarity and definition throughout.
The laminated sleeve is in Very Good condition. This sleeve is delicate and shows wear very easily but we are pleased to say it is solid and clean. The image is unworn, the colours are bright and the text is sharp. There is a little wear to the opening edge and small tears on the top and bottom opening corners. The rear of the sleeve is bright with just a little discolouration. The flipbacks are complete and sealed and the light spine is firm.
