Description
Michael Zadora, born June 14, 1882 New York; died June 30, 1946 New York ) was an American pianist and composer of Polish parents. He first learnt to play the piano from his father, in 1899 he enrolled at the Paris Conservatory, from there he travelled to Vienna for lessons with Theodor Leschetitzky and Ferrucio Busoni. From 1911 - 1912 he taugth at the Lemberg Conservatory, the Hochschule für Musik and the Klindworth-Scharwenka Conservatory in Berlin. But as World War I approached Zadora returned to America and took a post at the Institute of Musical Art in New York. By 1923 Michael Zadora was back in Berlin, where at the Beethovensaal he was the first pianist to give an all-Busoni recital. In 1938 he played at London's Wigmare Hall. Zadora composed a few original works ( piano pieces, songs, etc. ) in his name and under the pseudonym of Pietro Amadis.
10" electric French Polydor 22120: Chopin, Waltz in C sharp minor op. 64 No 2 / Waltz in D flat major op. 64 No 1, matrices 1853 BK1 and 1854 BK1, recorded 1929 in Paris. Condition: 2, small needle run / 2, slight scratches; a fine copy !

1 = mint, never played on gramophone, is not used
1-2 = top copy, no traces of use - virtually as new
2 = excellent copy, few light non-sounding rubs/marks
2-3 = light traces of wear (rubs/marks), very light greying and/or light scratches, non sounding blemishes
3 = a good average copy with more noticeable rubs and marks; light greying, few light scratches possible
3-4 = more traces of use, sonic wear from light greying. An inferior average copy, light scratches possible
4 = some sounding wear, heavier rubs and marks, scratches possible
5 = obvious sounding wear, heavy rubs, marks, scratches. An unsatisfactory copy.
