Painter-sculpter-musician Michel Madore recorded just 2 LPs before calling it quits.   Both are stunning examples of progressive music at it's best, yet they are also vastly different.

 

While his second album was a solo ambient effort that recalls early Tangerine Dream, his debut, "Le Kumuso a Cordes" is a brilliant all-instrumental band-effort......unique jazzy psych-prog and Floyd-ish space rock with freaked-out moments and that also occasionally reminds one of bands like Moerlan's Gong.

Michel Madore (synthesizer, piano, 12-string guitar, strings),  Ron Proby (mini-moog, sax),  Mathieu Leger (Lasting Weep, l'Orchestre Sympathique) on drums & percussion,  Phillippe Beck (piano, fender rhodes),   Errol Walters (standup bass),  and with Dionysos bassist Fernand Durand (electric bass).
