GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie vengono controllati sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i 33 giri in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1. Per EP e singoli a 45 giri utilizzo un Thorens TD 166 BC con testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All LPs in auction have been fully heard on a Rega Planar 3 turntable with a Grado Statement 1 moving magnet cartridge. I listen EPs and singles 45 rpm. on a Thorens TD 166 BC turntable with a Goldring 1006 MM cartridge. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : dodici canzoni tutte interpretate in Francese da ottimi vocalisti sia maschili che femminili. Le liriche, tutte di Jean Yanne, hanno forti connotazioni satiriche senza nessuna pietà verso il capitalismo, il clericalismo, il sindacalismo, la politica e plaudendo soltanto, ovviamente in modo ironico, al solo valore a cui gli uomini dovrebbero aspirare: il denaro. Le belle musiche sono di Michel Magne in qualche caso affiancato da Claude Germain. Le canzoni sono caratterizzate da ritmiche molto sostenute con una certa preferenza per la musica funk presente in un discreto numero di brani. Sottolineo volentieri "Liberté, égalité, sexualité" (a1), cantata con allegria da vocaliste femminili su un buon e percussivo ritmo di samba, "Luttons pour le marché commun" (a4) dal ritmo funky con chitarra, basso e batteria, "Choral en Ut Dieze Mineur pour curés et sportifs " (a5) con sensazioni psichedeliche derivanti dal canto corale solo in apparenza liturgico accompagnato da ottimi interventi della batteria e dalla chitarra, "Parle au patron ma tête est malade" (a6) dalle sonorità "rhythm 'n' blues. "Superchic genial (Hommage à James Brown)" (b3) dall'eccitante intrecciarsi di vocalità femminili e maschili su una percussiva ritmica funky, "Pétrole pop" (b5) con il canto corale interrotto più volte da una beffarda voce femminile su un un rapido sviluppo ritmico. Infine "Inter-Allélujah" (b6) dove il celebre canto rivoluzionario nato all'epoca della Comune di Parigi nel 1871 "L'Internationale" è rielaborato sotto forma di spiritual. 

Notes : twelve songs performed in the French by excellent male and female vocalists. The lyrics, all by Jean Yanne, have strong satirical connotations without any mercy towards capitalism, clericalism, trade unionism, politics, and applauding only, of course, ironically, to the only value to which all people should aspire: money. The fine music is by Michel Magne in some cases assisted by Claude Germain. The songs are characterized by fast rhythms with a certain propensity for funk music that we can listen in a fair number of tracks. I gladly mention "Liberté, égalité, sexualité" (a1), cheerfully sung by female vocalists on a good samba percussive rhythm, "Luttons pour le marché commun" (a4) from the funky sonorities with guitar, bass and drums, "Choral en Ut Dieze mineur et pour curés sportifs "(a5) with psychedelic sensations arising from the only in appearance liturgical choral singing accompanied by a remarkable drumming and guitar," Parle au patron ma tête est malade"(a6) from the rhythm 'n' blues sound. "Superchic genial (Hommage à James Brown)" (b3) from the exciting interplay of male and female vocals on a funky percussive rhythm, "Pétrole pop" (b5) where the choral singing is interrupted several times by a mocking female voice on a fast rhythmic development. Finally, "Inter-Allelujah" (b6), where the famous revolutionary song "The Internationale" born at the time of the Paris Commune in 1871, is reworked as spiritual.
