Description

MICHELE : Saturn Rings LP (ABC [USA] ABCS-684) 1969.

Record is excellent with minimal light sleeve marks only. Cover is VG+ with a cut-out hole (top right), light ring-wear and edge-wear, and a 2" split in the middle of the top seam.

Clean original copy of this scarce soft-psych LP by Curt Boettcher-associate Michele O'Malley (Millennium, Sagittarius, Friar Tuck, etc).

The names of all the backing musicians are mis-spelled, we assume for contractual reasons: credited players are "Elliott Ingber", actually Elliot Ingber (Mothers of Invention, Captain Beefheart's Magic Band, etc), "Bobby Narcoff",actually Bobby Notkoff (Rockets, Karen Dalton, etc), "Lowel George", actually Lowell George (Little Feat), and "Mike Melvine", actually Mike Melvoin (Ceyleib People, Wendy & Bonnie, Wrecking Crew, etc).

Boettcher himself is not credited, other than as songwriter on some tracks; it's generally assumed that he had a hand in producing the LP, though the credited producer is Mike Deasy (Friar Tuck himself, name spelled correctly). Also featuring some songwriting contributions by Bobby Jameson, aka "Chris Lucey" (speaking of incorrect credits...).
